We are a world wide group of musicians sharing and learning from each other.

 

Purpose

LL supports musicians by providing free educational resources while also helping private teachers find paying music students.

 

Started

This site started from a small group of musician friends that were sharing videos. The first version was launched in Jan. 07. Since then LL has evolved into a free place for all musicians to learn and connect attracting thousands of musicians everyday (traffic stats).

 

Version 2

Over the past year, LL has been steadily attracting more and more musicians. Most visitors have been musicians looking to learn and teachers looking to teach and share what they know. In March 08 LL launched a 2.0 version of the site. Version 2 adds many new features and enables students to directly connect and hire music teachers.

 

Owned

All content is shared with the public under a creative commons license. This license allows all content to be republished by the public and non profits. The domain is owned by LL founder and musician Bryan Sotherden who acts as caretaker for this site. Server space on Video Egg and programming has been provided free of charge. This has allowed us to operate without ads and without asking for any donations.

Join the community

While you don't need to register to watch video lessons and get to know the other musicians here, registering and officially joining is total free and provides several advantages (connecting with musicians, uploading, rating, tracking your favorites, adding freinds, creating personal and gear profiles).

 

Free always

LearnLicks is available to anyone in the world free of charge. Our goal is to help as many people as possible by sharing these video lessons and therefore we will never charge for access to the site.
